Stopping Unsafe Relationships Together
Education Advocacy & Support Service
#wearesurt
To enable children and young people to be safe, happy and resilient we will educate them to recognise unsafe and unhealthy relationships, assist them to exit abusive relationships safely and support their recovery. We will also offer support and education to their parents/carers and communities to strengthen and develop safer environments.
To deliver our offer of SURT relationship intervention, support and education, we will work flexibly including evenings and weekends where needed.
Our Core Values
SURT social purpose and vision are underpinned by our core values, which are:
SURT Offer
We will have conversations with children and young people and their supporters to understand the risks and experience of relationship abuse. These conversations will inform SURT interventions and safety planning with the aim of preventing and stopping children and young people from experiencing harm.
We will help children and young people to recognise unsafe and unhealthy relationships through delivery of accredited and/or tailored 1-1 or group-work education programmes. We will review the effectiveness of these programmes and assist children to use their learning to improve their safety.
Together, with children and young people and their support networks we will assist children and young people to exit abusive relationships safely and provide a support service which helps their recovery.
We will also offer support and education to their parents/carers and communities to strengthen and develop safer environments.
We will work flexibly including evening and weekends when needed, delivering relationship intervention, support and education.
Our SURT offer is not time limited. Children and young people will receive a service until they feel safer and happier. The intensity of contact will be based upon individual need and response to risk. Where children and young people are moving into adulthood they will be appropriately supported to access adult services where required as part of a safe transition.

Together We Support
SURT’s social purpose is to prevent and stop children and young people experiencing relationship abuse.
SURT’s vision is to help children and young people feel safer, happier and resilient.
SURT’s ambition is to bring communities together, make a difference together, accomplish together, work together and celebrate together.
To help achieve this, SURT needs YOUR HELP! Without the support from community supporters, corporate sponsorships, funders, partner agencies and donations SURT would not be able to deliver this vital service within our community.
We are excited to see our SURT support network grow during our pilot and beyond, so please consider how you can get involved looking at the range of “Together we Support” options and get in touch using our contact page. WE CAN’T WAIT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
